The rankings

The site publishes editorial rankings and public facts about tools. A score appears only after a hands-on test, and only with the date and the runs behind it. Nothing here is a promise that a tool will work a certain way for you. Paying for a placement does not change a rank or a score. The method is on the methodology page.

The letter

Joining is optional. We send a confirmation link first, and you are on the list only after you confirm. You can unsubscribe from any issue. Leaving the list does not change a rank. What we keep is on the privacy page.

Advertising

A featured listing is $99 per month: a labeled Sponsored card on one category page. A newsletter sponsorship is $99 for one issue: a labeled mention in that letter. Stripe charges the card. The page you return to after payment does not publish the spot. We email within one business day to collect the name, a public URL, and one sentence. Offers are listed on the advertise page.

Cancellation and refunds

The featured listing is a monthly subscription. It renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Stripe receipt, or by emailing hello@shipranked.com before the renewal date. Cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you already paid. We do not prorate or refund a month that has already started, except where the law requires it.

The newsletter sponsorship is a one-time payment for a single issue. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. If that issue has not gone out, email hello@shipranked.com and we will pull the mention.

Submissions and links

Sending a tool in for testing is free. It does not buy a score, a rank, or a sponsored spot. Some outbound buttons are affiliate links. Those are labeled, and the details are on the disclosure page. Do not use the forms to send malware or to pretend to be someone else.

Changes

We can update these terms. The current version is this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new version applies.
