The letter

The signup form asks for an email address. When the list is on Resend, we save that address as unsubscribed and send a confirmation link. You join only after you open the link. We use the address to send the letter and to take you off the list. Every issue has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell the list, and we do not give it to other companies for their ads.

If the mailing list is not connected, the form checks the address and does not add you to a list.

Tool submissions

The submit form asks for a tool name, a URL, a category, a contact email, and a short description. We use that to decide whether to test the tool, and to reply. It is not added to the newsletter. Submitting is free and does not buy a rank.

Payments

Stripe processes the $99-a-month featured listing and the $99 newsletter sponsorship. Stripe collects the card. We receive the payment result, the email on the receipt, and the details you type for the placement, such as a tool name, a website, and a category. We do not store the card number. Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Those events do not include your email address. We do not use advertising cookies. A page view records the path. An outbound click records the tool and the page, not the rest of the address. A sponsor-ticker click records the sponsor name and the page. A signup event records that the form was submitted, not the address. An advertise click records which of the two offers it was. Affiliate links and sponsored spots

Railway and Bolt are affiliate links. If you use one, that company may pay a commission and may set its own cookie. Sponsored placements publish the name, sentence, and link a sponsor sends us. Neither one changes a rank.

How long we keep it

A newsletter address stays until you unsubscribe. Payment records stay as long as we need them for the placement and for the books. Analytics retention is Vercel’s. To ask about your address, email hello@shipranked.com.
